Misspelled Keywords: A Little Known Trick that Benifits Any Web Business

The Internet has revolutionized the way the world conducts business. The web has introduced new and untapped streams of revenue for capitalists across the board. A large portion of these entrepreneurs are missing out on a staggering number of potential customers.

Web based businesses usually don’t make the most of what they have. They’ve invested time and money into building a site that could be lucrative, but they often overlook one crucial element in their web marketing. By ignoring this important detail, they may be missing out on as much as 12% or more of traffic to their site. And they may be surrendering coveted top positions on major search engines. It is a technique that is so simple, so elementary that it receives very little attention. But it could make a huge difference in a company’s bottom line. That little known trick is the inclusion of misspelled words in keyword lists.

It has already been proven that a comprehensive keyword list is an indispensable tool for the success of any website. Still many business people don’t take into account that words can be easily misspelled. Whether it is due to ignorance or a case of the fingers typing faster than the brain can move, at one time or another, every person has made a typo. It is estimated that about 10 million searches are misspelled every day.

Taking advantage of these misspelled words is ideal for either PPC campaigns or organic SEO. It provides a significantly lower cost-per-click, is not nearly as competitive, yet just as targeted as the correct spelling.

In today’s world, web entrepreneurs need every possible edge over the competition. It’s a cutthroat world out there. With products such as Instant Keyword Research, businessmen and women are fortunate to have much of this legwork done for them. It includes a list that gives almost every possible combination of misspelled words for any search term, without requiring much more work than the push of a button. Some of these spelling errors are so common that they are searched for thousands of times each day. Others are not quite so obvious. But all of them can be useful.

There are web sites that focus more on the user experience and look up sites or listings guilty of the dreaded typo. Potential buyers can type in a search and this service will search through major sites, like eBay, to find any matches that are misspelled. For example, the word clothes will bring up any auctions in eBay that may match blothes, cloths, clothees, etc.

But the importance of misspelled words cannot be overstated. Businesses pay the price by losing out on customers. Buyers pay the price because they don’t find what they need. However, with the wrong words on the right list, trouble can be clearly avoided.

Thank You Sample Of Job Applicants

Five Reasons to Send Thank You Letters to Employers After the Interview

Thank you letters are an excellent self-marketing tool and a critical component of your job search strategy. The time spent crafting a targeted thank you letter after an interview will be well spent and can contribute to a more credible and efficient search. Below are five reasons to incorporate thank you letters into your search strategy.

A thank you letter creates an opportunity to reconnect with employers.Chances are you are one of many candidates being interviewed for an open position. Writing a follow up letter allows you to build a relationship with the interviewer and develop rapport. By expressing your gratitude for the interview and recapping the highlights of the meeting, you revisit the reasons you believe there is an appropriate fit between you and the organization.Following up keeps your candidacy top of mind.

Often candidates make the mistake of putting too much control in the interviewer’s hands. They believe that if they are the best candidate, the interviewer will remember them and keep them in the loop regarding the selection process. But this is often not the case. It’s critical that candidates remind prospective employers of their interest in a position and the thank you letter is the perfect vehicle for communicating this.

Written correspondence allows you to sell your strengths again.

While part of the reason for the thank you letter is to express gratitude for the meeting, the document serves a much more strategic purpose. It provides an opportunity for the candidate to repackage their skills and accomplishments into another format and market their value added to the employer.

The document enables you to address points you neglected to discuss during the interview.

Many candidates report that after they leave the interview they think of all the other things they could have said during the meeting. Rather than labeling this a liability, turn it into an asset by discussing these points in the thank you letter and remind the reader of your ability to produce similar results for their organization.

A letter helps develop rapport and increases employer’s comfort level with your candidacy.

A good strategy is to recap a part of the conversation where you and the interviewer shared similar views on a job-related topic. The thank you letter can also be a forum for demonstrating your consultative problem solving skills. By addressing current issues the employer is facing and proposing solutions, you are contributing to the company’s success even before you are on board.

Thank you letters continue to be an important component of a successful job search campaign. But the focus has shifted from a simple courtesy and show of appreciation to a targeted self-marketing tool. By creating letters that validate your candidacy, build rapport, and remind the reader of your value added, you can significantly influence potential employers and increase your chances for subsequent interviews.

Thoughtful Words For A Thank You Note

Anatomy Of A Thank You Letter

Have you ever given someone a great gift and never received acknowledgment that the person had even received it?

What a missed opportunity for that recipient to have given you the joy of knowing that the gift was being enjoyed! In both your personal and business life, it is critical to take the time to offer thanks for an interview, a gift, or an event.

When you are going through the process of seeking new employment, it is essential to write a thank you letter after each interview. This not only is the gracious thing to do, but also lets the company know that you are really interested in the position.

There are five important keys to an effective thank you letter.

GET QUALITY PAPER

If you are sending a written thank you letter, it is important to choose good quality paper to give the correspondence the dignity it deserves. Emailing can be acceptable if it is crucial to get a message to someone more quickly than the mail can handle it. This might be true after an interview since the decision can be made soon after the meeting has taken place.

GREETING

Start your correspondence with an appropriate greeting. In a business situation this would be a more formal salutation. Even if you have talked with more than one person at a company, make certain that your letter is to one person. You could ask that person to pass on your thanks or send a separate letter to others involved in the process.

GRATITUDE

Express your thanks in a specific and warm way. This may seem like the easiest part of the letter, but can be the most difficult. One mistake often made is to say that you’re “just writing to say…” Of course, you’re writing! That does not need to be said. Instead just say the thank you plainly and simply. “Thank you for…”

Part of expressing your gratitude is being timely with your thanks. Write your thank you as soon as possible.

GRAMMAR

Write carefully with your best sentence structure and check your spelling. Make certain names are spelled correctly. Get to the point in your correspondence. Keep your sentences and paragraphs brief. It’s best to keep the length to one page or less.

Sending a thank you with sloppy writing can give the impression that you don’t care enough to create a quality message. This could mean that you will not be hired for a position you might really want.

GRACIOUS

It is not overdoing it to give your thanks one more time before closing the communication. This is the point of the letter. Just say it again.

The Information About Thank You Notes

Is it really necessary to send an additional thank you card in the mail, if the person giving the gift is present when it’s opened? No, if you thank someone at the time they give you the gift, you do not have to send a thank you note.

However, if the person when to a lot of effort (made you a quilt, found some rare thing you collect, etc) it is a very nice thing to let them know how much it meant to you with a little note. We all like personal mail and we all get very little of it. So five minutes of your time and a 39 cent stamp can really add joy to the giver’s day.I hosted a Christmas party for my husband’s clients. Several guests brought gifts. Should I send out thank you notes for the hostess gifts? The hostess gifts you received were a token of appreciation for your hosting and you do not need to send a thank you. However, I always think a quick note of thanks, not only for the gift, but for the company, is a nice touch.

A work associate and his family watched my dog for a few weeks while I went on vacation. They refused any payments I offered. I even left money in an envelope and they returned it. I want to show my appreciation without insulting them. What is a good thank you gift? Since they have refused and then returned money, you cannot buy or give them anything without (as you say) insulting them. Write them a nice thank you note and in a few weeks or months, take them all out to dinner.

My mother-in-law recently passed away and my husband and I have received a lot of sympathy cards from friends. It’s very nice to know that we have so many people thinking of us. I was just wondering though if we need to send thank you cards to let them know we received their nice cards? It is entirely up to you. When it comes to the death of a loved one, people are not expected to do anything unless they wish to. The thinking is that it is a very difficult time and everyone handles grief differently. Some people need to retreat into themselves for reflection, some need to reach out to others. If there are notes or
cards that particularly touch you and you want to write back, you certainly may. No one who sent a card or a casserole will (or should) be upset if they hear nothing, though.

Due to a recent illness many people sent me get well cards. Do I need to send thank you cards to the well wishers? No, not unless you feel like doing so. If they made an effort to write a long newsy letter, that is worth some return correspondence on your part, but the cards were just to say hello and let you know they were thinking of you.

Examples Of Thank You Messages

What’s Really The Message In Your Thank You Card?

A Thank You Card is a socially acceptable way of showing our thanks and appreciation after an act of thoughtfulness. Nothing too large and certainly not an act measured in size. It’s the giving that makes the difference rather than the size of the gesture.

These days there are Thank You cards for almost all eventualities -Thank You For Having Me, Thank You For My Present, Thank you Mom, Thank You Teacher. Many of us are saying Thank You but not all of us find it that easy and that’s where the Greeting Card Industry can help with a personalized thank you card. Whilst it might seem that Thank You Cards are the salvation of those who just can’t ’say’ the words, they are also just perfect for the rest of us who can.

Thank You Cards are all around us. There are hundred of companies bidding for our custom. They jump out at us from the card racks, and blink at us on the computer. Of course email makes things so much more immediate. That’s great for those of us who take our time over these things. Our excuse might be that it takes time out of our busy lives to go and shop for a card.

Sometimes we may not know that we want one, then the thought comes to us of the very person we could send one to.

But rather than think of the profits involved for the card companies, think of the profit being stored up for yourself.

Many years ago I heard a story about kind thoughts and actions being tallied up as gold dust. Every time we did something kind for someone our good actions were stored as gold dust - in their pocket. Then, if we did something that was not exactly kind, they had this store of gold dust to feel. If there was more gold dust than air then we were still thought well of, and the ‘unkind’ action was dismissed.

So perhaps we are storing up good deeds, and the profit (if you like) is purely ours.

But let’s get real. Who ever said that card-giving needed analyzing? Just do the thing!

Just look at all the occasions we have to send a thought back. Saying Thank You with a genuine motive of appreciation demonstrates the pattern of both giving and receiving a kindness.

Think of the pleasure and satisfaction you get when you unexpectedly give a gift or a card to someone you care about. They’ll always have the card to remind them. You have the memory of giving.

No doubt there are many in the Greeting Card Industry who look at such things as trends and forecasts, personality types and human behavior. After all, they really need to. It’s this that helps them design and publish the perfect card for us to choose.

It’s because Thank You cards can and should be sent for almost any occasion that we have so many cards and messages to choose from. Remember when the choice of ten cards was just nine too many?

Why are there so many? Well it comes back to us, our personalities, and the occasion. We have to get everything right: the words and the picture.

Here’s our thinking: - ‘Are they sincere, appropriate, too long, too flowery, will they say the right thing in the right way, and will I be understood/mis-understood’? And you thought you just bought a card? Perhaps we’re actually buying into so much more, but we don’t know it.

Thank You Cards allow us to show our emotions and how we appreciate others efforts on our behalf. And they let us share a little bit of ourselves with someone else.

So if someone does you a kindness this week, show them that you have taken their action to heart. Give back, by choosing, writing and then sending a personal card to someone you know. Thank them for their kindness, their friendship and their love.

Send, or give a Thank You Card, and see how that makes them - and you feel.

Recession on the Horizon? Fight Back with Virtual Assistance!

It seems that everywhere we turn these days there is talk of a looming recession. An article by Jeannine Aversa, AP Economics Writer, says that “The unemployment rate leaps to a two-year high, record numbers of people are forced from their homes and Wall Street nose-dives again. Such is the fallout from a housing meltdown that threatens to slingshot the country into a recession.”

Yikes! What to do? Where to turn? What about virtual assistance and virtual staffing? The good news is those tools exist now, which didn’t exist in recessions past, to help businesses through recession. In the old days a recession meant certain death for a good many businesses. Today, it doesn’t have to!For years now companies have embraced hiring virtual assistants through virtual staffing agencies in order to save on payroll and bricks and mortar overhead costs. Perhaps the time has come for your company to give virtual working a go before the crunch strikes so you’re primed and your business is ready for what comes next. Even in a robust economy saving money against the bottom line is a sure way to increase your company net.

What happens during a recession? Typically a company may lay workers off and cut jobs to save money on payroll and hardware costs like computers, desks, electricity, telephone bills, etc. I’ll be the last person to deny that some of these are quite necessary to survival during a recession. But even in a poor economy, companies need services. We need order takers, customer service personnel, receptionists, data entry workers, appointment setters, warm callers, and so on. So how can we fight back during recession, still get all of those necessary tasks done, and keep growing our companies?

How can a virtual assistant and virtual staffing help me save my business during a recession? Just save? You’re thinking too small. How about grow too?

Close your eyes and imagine a business world where you could ditch the high cost of sustaining office space; pass on the daily commute and high cost of fuel for the car; give the axe to buying a bunch of expensive office equipment for everyone and her* sister; keep the kids at home and avoid daycare costs; stop paying unemployment insurance, F.I.C.A., employee income tax, and health insurance; forget about listening to the latest boy friend woes; never deal with the employee mentality again; and have your workers thank you for the work.

Utopia right? Nope, just hiring virtually. When you hire a virtual assistant through a virtual staffing agency here’s what happens:

1) When you call to discuss your needs your call is answered promptly and courteously

2) You discuss the tasks in need of completion and your business’s needs with a qualified staffing consultant who is eager to understand your business and your needs

3) Once you’ve given the go ahead the consultant searches the virtual staffing agency’s database for the best possible virtual assistant for you

4) The virtual assistant is assigned to perform your business’s task

5) You immediately begin working one-on-one with the virtual assistant

6) She reports to you daily letting you know what work she’s done and cheerfully thanks you for giving her the work

7) She only “clocks in” when she’s working on your tasks. No need to pay for time not worked just because the assistant is sitting in your office waiting for tasks

8) She’ll be on call throughout the day, all week, but not billing unless you have tasks for her to work on

9) You are invoiced from one place for all of the assistance you need – whether it’s one or twenty virtual assistants

Of course the virtual assistant is an independent contractor so you won’t pay for health insurance, vacation time, sick time, F.I.C.A., office space, computers, desks, or even a lunch break.

You mentioned growth. What about the growth? Quite simple. What is the number one thing most businesses are missing during a recession? Cash. Cold hard cash. If you’re saving money on office expenditures and have reduced your payroll to only the essentials, what should you have more of? Cash! And what does a greater amount of cash allow a business to do? GROW! Market more, sell more and grow!

At Team Double-Click® we have 33 full and part time staff members. Those staff members in the bricks and mortar world, as employees in an office big enough to house them would cost the company nearly $1.5 million per year. Instead they cost only about $200,000. A savings of 87% per year by avoiding the big office and full-time employees! Plus our workers are happier because they work from home; enjoy greater flexibility which leads to greater loyalty, greater productivity, and less down time.

As if we need any more pluses to hiring and working virtually, we make very little impact on the environment when we all work and hire virtually!

Printable Word Search

Word search puzzles (often simply known as “word searches”) are puzzle games normally played using a pen and paper. The player’s goal is to find a number of words hidden in a grid or table of letters. The challenge of the game stems from three factors:

- Firstly, the words can be hidden at any position or orientation within the grid of letters. Words may be vertical (going up, or going down), horizontal (left to right, or right to left) or diagonally (in any of the four diagonal directions).- Secondly, not all letters in the grid may be part of a word. Moreover, given that words can cross and overlap. Combined with the jumble of different orientations and positions, it may be extremely difficult to locate all of the words hidden in the puzzle.- Thirdly, the player may or may not be given a list of words to search for. Usuaully players are in fact given a list, but this is not absolutely necessary - in fact the puzzle is much more difficult in the absence of such a list. Puzzle designers who choose not to provide a word list, do usually give at least a clue as to the type or subject of the words in the puzzle.

While many people enjoy word search puzzles as a leisure activity, it should also not be forgotten that these puzzles can also have educational value, especially in terms of practising spelling and reading. This is because students must knowt the correct spelling of words (along with the learning to work methodically) in order to solve the puzzle.

Creating a word search puzzle by hand is no easy task - it’s a time consuming, trial error process, but, in all honesty, not nearly as much fun as solving these puzzles. One solution is to use your computer to create these puzzles - it then becomes quick and easy - just type a list of words, and with the help of suitable software, a puzzle appears in a flash. Additionally the computer makes it very easy to try out different sizes, shapes and word lists when creating these puzzles.
